AVCataloger 3.5 is here

A FREE update to all registered 3.x customers, AVCataloger 3.5 is available for immediate download.  We listen to customer feedback and this version rolls in great suggestions we've received over the past months from our rapidly growing AVCataloger community.  AVCataloger is already rock solid as it is now so most of the updates in this version were simple fixes and compatibility updates.  We've update the documentation and posted the revision history online so you can see exactly what's changed in this free update.  Stay up-to-date to ensure the highest compatibility and reliability using AVCataloger's built in update system.  We welcome your feedback...if you have any suggestions, please post to our wish list forum or submit your feedback online.  If you are happy with AVCataloger and it makes your cataloging system easier and you want to share your story with others please add your testimonial online and we'll share it for others to see online.

Catalog Music Albums With Ease

AVCataloger integrates Gracenote's CDDB Disc Recognition Server, a FREE Internet resource to automatically catalog Music Albums on CD.  Cataloging your entire music collection can be done in minutes using AVCataloger's unique "Rapid Entry" system where you simply feed AVCataloger your music album CD's one after the other until done.  AVCataloger will read the music album identification from the CD, submit this information to CDDB and instantly return all the information available on the music CD for instant cataloging and organizing.  Use the CDDB integrated cataloging system within AVCataloger to quickly inventory your entire music collection for a nice music pick list, insurance purposes, or to simply prevent duplicate purchasing of the same albums!  Try the CDDB system by clicking the "Internet" group on the left navigation bar, then click the CDDB icon.  If you've never used CDDB before, you will be asked to register (FREE) then immediately begin using the automated cataloging system.

Using the Internet Movie Database

Do you have a VHS or DVD collection that you'd like to build a reference library to learn about who's in the movie and all kinds of other interesting details?  Do you run a movie rental business and need a great system for posting a web page of available movies, movie details, etc.?  Check out AVCataloger's tight integration with the free Internet Movie Database "IMDb" for quick cataloging of any size movie collection.  Click the "Internet" group on the left side navigation bar then the IMDb button.  Enter the name of the movie and click the Search button and instantly record to AVCataloger more information then you knew existed!  AVCataloger will query the IMDb resources for movie details, even for television shows if desired and allow saving and cataloging within AVCataloger's powerful Video section.  You can even click the tabs at the bottom and view the IMDb web page which is brought to you directly within AVCataloger to browse the plethora of information available from IMDb.

Catalog Books Automatically

AVCataloger continues outstanding integration with media resources and extending to one of the greatest resources available -- Amazon.com.  Tapping directly into Amazon's book resources allows you to search Amazon.com right from AVCataloger, retrieve a list of matches and save details of the selected book directly into AVCataloger, book cover picture included.  We use AVCataloger for our "wish list" as well grouping our data within the AVCataloger Book area based on a custom field "owned."  When we have books we want to purchase in the future, we search and download the information right into AVCataloger, then click the link in the Book data presentation area which takes us back to the very book for purchase at a later date.  We thrive for organization and details, Amazon's high-speed integration and search within AVCataloger is fascinating.  If you have a barcode reader, you can even scan the barcode for the book directly into the search system and search on ISBN almost hands free!
