I received the following reply:
"Thank you for your wish list request. I don't see this happening anytime soon as our development efforts are focused on the new version of Logbook Pro at this time. The new APDL versions will come after Logbook Pro's next version releases. In the interim I suggest managing your notes/remarks within Logbook Pro instead of APDL."
I the meantime I purchased PdaReach ($24):

It does everything (clipboard functions etc.) I need and more.
