Q:> I just bought a new Pocket PC and want to be able to import my data from my old Pocket PC. Is this possible and if so how do I do it? I am now using a Dell Axim x30i. I was using a Dell Axim X5 > > A:> First, you need to backup your old Pocket PC. After you backup your old Pocket PC you need to restore onto your new Pocket PC. Here are the instructions: > > Here are the instructions for backing up your Windows CE device (Programs and Data): > > Step 1: Start a Backup > You can back up the programs, files, and data from your CE device to your desktop system using ActiveSync. You should do this frequently (or even daily if you're a heavy user), to ensure you'll always be able to recover vital data when you need it. To start the backup process, make sure your CE device is connected to ActiveSync (tap Start, Programs, Communication, PC Link in CE, if needed). Then, choose Tools, Backup/Restore in the ActiveSync window. The Backup/Restore dialog box opens. > > Step 2: Choose the Backup Type > The first time you back up information, click the Full Backup option button to select it and back up all the device information.
