Default Import Tracks?

I have a great deal of data in an Excel spreadsheet I wish to import, including track data. I cannot figure out how to import the track data. Is this not possible? That would seem to be a horrible omission.

Please tell me I am wrong, and that this is easy to do.

Russ,

The Import Wizard is only designed to bring in the main entry areas, not associated track elements due to database design constraints. For best results, use the CDDB Rapid Entry System to recatalog your collection in minimum time.

But the problem is, this is data I entered by hand from vinyl and cassette albums. You never considered this?

P.S. Otherwise, I love the software. ;^)

Russ,

The Import Wizard was not designed with AVCataloger, it was a capability built for Logbook Pro moved over to work in AVCataloger as well. This is more of a convenience, otherwise it would not be there at all as yes, the track portion is too difficult to import WITH track data. Imagine the interface required to bring in potentially two separate files of information merged into a related database design. It's simply too complex.

Thank you for your thoughts though, we do try to support all cusotmers feedback, but this one won't happen in version 2 of AVCataloger.

Neal,

Since this is a very old post, how about in 3.8 of AVCataloger?
I'd like to do exactly this - have track data in a (text file, Excel file, whatever), and would like to import it into AVC. Played around briefly with the trial version, and it seemed to want to import the list as CD/record titles only.

Thanks for any info.
