Default Combining New And Old Data

I had to replace my hard drive a few months ago and have been using a fresh install of AVC for a while. I have quite a bit of info on this new install and would like to know if I can recover and add the AVC data I have on backup cd ‘s I made of my C and D drive prior to it’s failure. I think if I use restore it will over write the present data. I would like to combine the whole lot. i believe the files are images and back up avb.
thank you
cs

Hello cs,

I'm sorry but there is no way to merge the two (or more) data files.

what if i install a trial version of avc on a different pc and then use the backup avb data file on CD to restore? would that load my old data to that pc? if so i could print a report and then manually re-enter the data to the new 3.8.2 on my primary pc.
other thought is -i have a 24" monitor and if i could run two different applications of AVC. the original and the currant. i could see the data much easier to enter and combine the two
what do you think of that?
cs

Hello cs,

You can backup your current data, restore the old data, print or export as you wish, then restore or open the main data file again. You don't need to use a second computer, you can switch among data files in AVCataloger.
