As the subject says,

It would be ("a) nice to have (") AVCataloger in other languages, i.e. in german.

Regards
Thomas

PS: Have you ever think about?

Thanks Thomas. Yes, we have considered this but have not had resources to translate. However, most of the application will allow customization to the language of your choice as it is now. Thank you for your suggestion.

You might not have the resources in your team but how about letting your users translate? What works for other software will work for you fine. I am sure if you call up for volunteers among your users, you will soon have a whole team of translators.

I am in need of a software to manage my cd's. I have about 1,000 cd's. Although I ordered them alphabetically by music style, I am about to loose the overview. In the past days I have been testing a lot of software, and yours really is the best. The only thing that is bothering me is the fact that it is only available in English. My English is not the worst, as this post hopefully shows.
But I am an very orderly person. I hate chaos. And if I installed an English software on my German windows that would be an inacceptable chaos for me. You might laugh at this, I do not care but that is just the way it is.

Just consider my proposal for a moment.

What do you think about translation by yourselves? For instance if we give you all appearing text in XML format and you copy that file inside resident folder and then just rename the file i.e. "German" and change the content.
For instance, it may appear "file" so you can overwrite it by 'Datei' ... if it's 'help' you can make it 'hilf' etc.
Thanks for the suggestion

Yes, that would be cool. But anyway there should be someone in charge for each language. I think it is not profitable if any user has to make its own translation. There should be an - let's call it - official translation, translates by a nominated user.
All these translations should be shared on your website.

And by the way, my offer to volunteer still counts.

Hello tiemsche,
Thanks for your kind offer to work as volunteer we deeply appreciate it.
Btw, may we know what is the language(s) that you are able to translate in/from?
Offer is opened for the other users as well.
If you apply please leave the notice which language(s) you want to translate in/from. I left "FROM" because we can have say translated text in German and if you know German and say French then you could translate it from German in French.
Thanks in advance
