Would love to see the ability to customize the reports (eg I don't want price on the 'Music by...' report. I would like to delete some of the columns in the Music collection report.

Did you know you can print directly from the data entry areas? This allows you full customization, i.e. sorting, fields/columns that are showing and the order, grouping, etc. Once you have your data entry area formatted, click the Print Preview icon on the toolbar.

One report that I cannot find is to print out a list of all music by a particular artist across all CD's. So for example, I want to print all my Mozart tracks (sorted by track) including the CD they are on.

Can I do this now or in the future?

You could show the group bar, set a group by the Artist, then sort as desired, and print from the data entry area.

hmmm, that's not what I mean.

To put it another way: Each CD has an Artist and a Details column. In the Details column is the title of the track. I want a report to list the titles of the tracks (details) in alphabetical order for each artist.

In other words, I want a sorted list of the title tracks for each artist so that when I am looking for a particular song (Oboe Concerto k314 Allegro) for example, I can easily find the CD it is on.

Can I do this?

As for a report, you can see the one's available, maybe the grouped by ones as I'm not 100% following your concept right now (maybe too tired! [img]/forums/emoticons/smile.gif[/img]). But, if you can get your data entry area arranged, with groups and sorts, that's the only other way, otherwise it cannot be done at this time.

I, too, would like a little more control over the reports. The report-writer gives much nicer reports than printing from the data entry area.

In particular I have several hundred music CDs in a CD-changer and I've indexed the "slot" where each CD is located in the Index field. It would really be nice to print some of your visually excellent reports with the Index showing instead of some of the fields that I really don't care about. It would ALSO be really nice to print CD reports sorted by Index. The one thing I can't figure out how to do is to print a report indexed by Index that lists each CD and the tracks that are on it.
