CDDB lookup without a CD

If AVCataloer can catgalog LPs, why we can't search CDDB for a LP?

It will be great to enter the artist and album title and get the info from cddb!

As of now, AFAIK, CDDB only searches on a unique serial number of a CD album. Therefore I cannot pass in other criteria to search on. It's very strict on their system. I'm looking at other options for the next release.

FreeDB is the solution !!! It would be great !!!

I would suggest two things:

1. Track ookup with TRM information(like musicbrainztagger does for instance)
import folders with mp3s,apes,oggs,etc to dtabase
auto sort them

2.automatic tagging(with help of musicbrainz tagger)

3.auto add dvd by inserting
