Since it is not possible to install ActiveSync in Vista I started looking for the solution. As it appears, Microsoft has come up with a new piece of Vista software for communication with mobile devices. It's called Windows Mobile Device Center. And it works fine!! Even though it is still in beta, it actually does the job. Syncing is no problem. You can find it here : http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobi...icecenter.mspx PS for Intel chip users : Never mind the 'AMD64' in the title for downloading the x64 version, I am running it on my Intel computer and it works fine... Howdy. Thanks for the mobile device link. I dl'ed and installed it, however I still can't get any of my flights to sync after the date that I installed vista. The updated database is on my computer's hard drive, but I guess for some reason log book pro isn't seeing it when I do the pda sync. Any ideas? Thanks! |

I checked my versions and I'm using 1.10.26 of Logbook Pro and version 6.0.4 build 072706 of ADPL Palm OS. I'm wondering if the update is being put in the wrong directory because when I look for my ADPL reports the files aren't there. I dunno.. any thoughts? thanks |

For tips on Vista, please see: http://www.nc-software.com/?kb=62 Make sure your Palm Username is set correctly in the PDA Wizard and also HotSync is configured per the KB article below: http://www.nc-software.com/?kb=41 As a last resort, try the following, then HotSync again and run the PDA Wizard: 1) Open Windows Explorer 2) Go to C:\Program Files\palmOne\{Your Palm Username}\Backup 3) MOVE (not delete) all files out of this folder to another location, such as C:\Temp\Palm Files HotSync and re-run the PDA Wizard. If you continue to have a problem syncing please send us your PDASyncLog.txt file from C:\Program Files\Logbook Pro in a support ticket.

| No, Palm OS users use HotSync. Windows Mobile (Pocket PC) uses ActiveSync on Windows XP and Windows Mobile Device Center on Vista.
