Logbook Pro 1.10 brings a new user-interface look & feel resembling that of Office 2003, offering four choices of menu styles, a brand new Pocket PC Companion which is a total code rewrite now supporting Windows Mobile 5, and a new Palm Companion with no CrossFire licensing fees. This is a free update to all registered customers in our commitment to bringing the aviation community the best pilot log ever!

PC Edition:

• Office 2003 and Visual Studio 2005 Menu & Toolbar Styles plus the older styles of Office 2000 and XP.
• Consolidated PDA synchronization with the new PDA Wizard. Both Logbook Pro PDA Companions in addition to Airline Pilot's Daily Aviation Logbook (APDL) Palm and Pocket PC editions are now sync'd to Logbook Pro (PC) via the new and highly flexible PDA Wizard. SingleSync is now phased out and replaced by the new PDA Wizard.
• FAA 8710 "one-click" report enhanced, "other" checkbox was remaining checked, change in logic with Simulator hours entered along side Duration hours
• New Product Activation System - more reliable and intuitive
• InstallShield Update Manager removed and replaced by NC Software's custom built software update notification system
• Block Time entry system updated to remove time calculations until dialog is closed to prevent program hang during gross differences between starting and ending times, i.e. setting the first date back several years
• Drop downs in time fields were showing .1 less than the entered Duration
• Log Entry Area sorts now include Block times to prevent out of order syncs from PDA's specifically for flights falling on the same day
• Custom text fields in reports no longer show total information at the bottom of the columns
• Custom report template issue where turning off page numbers did not disable page numbering on both lefts and rights in split-report series
• Analyzer set to pad column titles to allow for wider cells to show larger numbers
• Redundant page setup toolbar icons in Split-Report systems removed
• Export buttons added "Export" text to right of button to help identify the feature more readily
• Rebranding from MGOent to Cirrus Elite (acquired MGOent early this year)
• Bug in Standard to Enterprise Upgrade Code conflicting with a PDA code as recognized by the activation system
• Export to HTML filename issues resolved
• Date format in filename such as in export to CSV resolved
• Recent custom text field drop downs populated incorrectly
• Recent aircraft drop downs populated incorrectly
• Currencies using a History event which had no entry in the History area caused currency item to show incorrect expiration
• Renaming of various menu options such as in reports and reset layouts enhanced for accuracy of use
• About dialog shows current data file being used as well as machine name
• Updated installation and various components to improve reliability of system
• Added Detect and Repair to start menu to allow easy repair of installation (does an automated reinstall)
• Added new update manager communicating directly with NC Software's servers for software update notifications and messaging system
• Initial time when viewing block time entry system was showing as 00:00 instead of current time

Palm Companion:

• Updated to use new CrossFire 6 runtime engine which has NO licensing fees! The $25 licensing fee such as Treo users had to acquire is no longer necessary
• Improved performance throughout

Pocket PC Companion:

• Complete rewrite to use the powerful Microsoft .NET Compact Framework version 2 (free from Microsoft)
• Redesigned user-interface to streamline data input. Certificates, Ratings, and History combined into one dialog with three tabs. Logbook area designed to reduce dialogs from 7 to 1 with three tabs separating main log, approaches, and custom entries.
• Enhanced data displays such as color coded currencies
• International support
• Landscape orientation supported
• Supported devices included those running Windows Mobile 2003/2003 SE, and Windows Mobile 5. All versions of ActiveSync supported
• ZERO ActiveSync configuration required. Pocket Access and ASConfig are gone! Simply connect your device via ActiveSync and that's it!
• Enhanced user-interface customization via the preferences section
• Faster data input with overall improved performance of new design
• Integration with NC Software Update Servers, you can check for Pocket PC updates if connected via ActiveSync or any active Internet Connection
