Default getting started..

Hi all,
My plan was to install Logbook Pro on both my PC and my laptop. I was going to start logging current time on the PC, and using the laptop to go back and transfer my old paper logs onto logbook pro. When the laptop has all the old time on it, I'd transfer the laptop data to the PC. Question is, would this work? Would the software be able to keep it all unscrambled??
Thanks in advance,
Dan
